Machine Compare introduces Marketplace Lowest Price Guarantee

28 April 2021

On April 27th 2021, Machine Compare unveiled its Lowest Price Guarantee, offering spare parts listed on Marketplace at unbeatable prices. With this new feature in place, buyers can benefit from cheaper prices for any spare parts displaying the Lowest Price Guarantee badge, if they’re found cheaper online (T&C’s apply).

April was an eventful month for Machine Compare, now over a month into the successful soft launch of the spare parts platform, Marketplace. Late April 2021 also saw the unveiling of Marketplace Lowest Price Guarantee, a price match feature that means that if a buyer can find the exact same item for a lower price elsewhere, Machine Compare will honour that lower price. Therefore, you can always get the lowest possible price on an item providing guidelines are met such as:

  • Requesting a price match only on products that display the Lowest Price Guarantee badge
  • We can verify the price offered (the price must be displayed online or via a previous invoice/receipt)
  • It is for the same new product (i.e the same make, model, size and MPN number)

Pricing

Now, when it comes to price, Machine Compare is committed to offering the best-in-market pricing. This starts with our current analyses on present stock (as of April 28th, 2021) against like-for-like products in the market, making sure that our prices are a minimum of 25% cheaper than new.

As well as that, Machine Compare has added a price match guarantee against any electrical and mechanical spare parts listed on the Marketplace website displaying the ‘Lowest Price Guarantee’ badge (T&C’s depending).

Additionally, for a limited time online, Machine Compare is also providing customers with 5% off their first purchase.

How does the Price Match guarantee work?

1. Find the product on Marketplace

Machine Compare will only price match against products that display the Lowest Price Guarantee icon.

3. Enter your details

This includes:

  • Full name
  • Company name
  • Telephone number
  • Email Address

Buyers will also be asked to enter the cheaper price they’ve found elsewhere and evidence of this. Evidence can be either a URL to where the cheaper part is being sold online or an upload of an invoice or receipt.

4. Await confirmation from Machine Compare

This is usually done within 48 hours.

Currently offering over £7 million worth of product lines across electrical and mechanical spare part categories like semiconductors, capacitors, circuit protection, bearings, bolts and gears, buyers are bound to find the spare parts they need for less and with fast shipping the world over. Sellers too can identify new revenue streams by turning surplus spare parts into capital.

DS Smith, Stora Enso, Nestle, JBS, Ülker and UCIC are among the growing list of industrial manufactures showcasing unused, obsolete and surplus stock via the e-commerce platform.

Over 15 multi-national manufacturers have partnered with Marketplace to sell surplus inventory, taking the number of individual brands, including spare manufacturers and sector-specific OEMs shoppable on the website, to over 260.

By owning product selection, pricing, images and copy, manufacturers can digitally connect the supply chain and inventory systems to trade more efficiently, without the need to physically move stock to a third-party seller or distribution centres. Products are displayed in a clean and dynamic environment, with further details made available by tapping into an internal database of over 50 million existing spare parts. This further populates inventory with datasheets and product specifications through the MPN number and manufacturer.

With the Marketplace still in its BETA infancy, Machine Compare is welcoming feedback to streamline the online experience, expand it, as well as add new features and functionalities before the global launch this autumn. You can provide any feedback you have by clicking here.
